A less abstract approach to the sounds. The shoe has three-prong cleats for the traction you need to accelerate and change direction quickly.I decided to record impacts and the movement of the the cleats using contact microphones buried in soil and under grass and then edited to picture and processed for the final mix. About 90% of the sounds originated with the contact mic recordings.
